Interesting color for a Cobra, is it beige?

I think Patrick has the beige cobra market covered.

At first, I thought it might be Wimbleton white under bad lighting. Then I noticed the white racing stripes. Beige indeed. Each to his own.

That colour is definitely not my first choice - wouldn't even make the top 100.

IMO I hate the interior Looks too new and unlike the traditional, more original basic interior. If I wanted all that padding I'd order a new car. Color does not look good on a Cobra either again IMO.

I could live with the color. But get rid of the wheels, interior, roll bar and door handles.

Oh no...
not the beige beige!
My paint does weird things under different lighting conditions, too. It is an early 60s Ford color called Sunlight Yellow. Several other companies had perhaps the same color or something similar, but with different names. I am told that was quite common for the companies to rename the same colors back in the day.
I do not think mine is the same color as this but mine looks funky under fluorescent lights... it goes more to a creamy beige, as well, but a bit more yellow. Yet, sometimes it is very yellow! That made it really hard to determine the original color, which came on 2459, back in July of '64, for which I am creating a tribute car. It is the Lew Florence-Jamie Bargelt USRRC/SCCA race car shown in Friedman's excellent book, below. The color variation in the old photos is remarkable! It is one of very few original yellow Cobras.

Notice the beige color up front and on the driver's side rear quarter... apparently, the gold washed off the wheels pretty quickly as later photos show plain mags.

I don't think I've ever seen a cobra with side running lights.

Look at the under hood picture and all the mirror panels around it. Ol Hugh Hefner probably didn’t have that many mirrors in his bedroom.
