troubleshooting msd atomic II

Starts with 60 lbs of fuel pressure and runs for a second or 2. Fuel pressure drops to 20 and then dies. Sometimes will run for 5 seconds. New engine and just took off old engine which was running perfect. Help

Pump wiring? Pump bad?

Pressure should stay much higher than 20.

It is one of those ghost things. Pulled old engine, Put aside all wiring, power steering etc to the side. Put in new engine and this happens. Checked fuel pump initially. Was running perfect before. Puzzled.

hi,

Did you change any sensors? Do you need to reset the TPS?

All I got left is maybe a not-so-good ground?

hinoonaz 08-02-2021 05:40 AM

Going thru the wiring and ground connections. Will keep carb on until after Hot August nights is over and then try again.
