Pin drive. I assume a standard 7.5" pin drive wheel had a 2" slice cut out of
the center and welded back up again to make a "narrowed" 5.5" wheel. I
believe there are wheel services that will do that to cast wheels. Put an
appropriate sized tire on and you have a working spare. Replica hold down
fittings with a copy of the original AC aluminum nut are available at reasonable
cost.

Front wheel or back?

Front wheel fits snugly in the ERA trunk, tool kit behind (front) and jack w/lead hammer, safety wire pliers in a bag. No room for chairs though.

Interestingly, ERA used to sell a very narrow 'Spare' wheel, maybe 4 inches or so. It can be seen in their old assembly manual and/or web site. I asked Peter a few years ago and he said they were no more. I'm sure some of the older ERA's have them. And yes, AAA is a great 'plan B'.

The one time my car failed on the road no tool kit would have helped. It died on I25 right smack in the middle of Denver. I suspected fuel pump. All the fuses were OK. I jiggled the fuel pump switch and it would start and run for a few seconds. Fuel pressure would be OK then drop. I watched the pressure as I jiggled the switch. Boom, came back. Held switch up a little and ran OK. Jammed a toothpick to hold it off dead spot and got home. Dang Lucas switches.
Or keep some toothpicks in your tool kit.

I once changed out a fuel pump on my old '62 Chevy Impala in NYC.

I once drove a nasty big block, 4 speed Corvette without a working clutch from Astoria out to Deer Park, Long Island. As one can imagine, those red lights and minor traffic jams were a pain in the rear, today I would just call AAA or Verizon.

I typically take the tools which I used last on the car. And cash for a tow truck.
Scissor jack is a good idea if you loose a wheel and need to fit it. Ask me how I know...
