Some of us PNW guys were talking about running to Az. this year, maybe we can stop by and say Hi. Cheers TommyRot.

Bill, I can't remember what year I joined but I do know that during some of the server problems from several years ago mine got lost and it now shows 2001. But I think it was around 1996 when I actually joined but it was never important enough to try and find out or have it corrected.

Per records archived in my files, this sites official date of birth was January 23th, 1999. There was the original cobraforum, which was produced by Mike and Val Senior that dates back to early 1997, but was more a specialized site for early FFR builders. Bill S. |

Joined 2-8-99, based on the info in my profile. Had just purchased a Superformance, #346. Didn't post much, but learned so much from this forum and all the personalities on it.
Sold the car many years ago, and still miss her ;). Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year! |
Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all members.
We lost a bunch of guys when the website became unusable for many of us, due to computer problems that I, and many others will never understand. A major lost soul was "Cobra 3170" , a retired ford engineer, racer, autocrosser, who kept us abreast of his autocrossing adventures. His Cobra knowledge was vast, and he shared it all with us. Frustrated with problems with this site, he jumped ship to "Cobra talk", and still posts there. I really miss the group of "Aussies" with their amusing version of the English language. My memory aint what it used to be, so I can't recite a list of names, but the one I was keeping tabs on was "Leroy 17" who was restoring an Arntz. He had bought some land in a hilly location, and had bulldozed a side of a hill flat to erect a large "Shed". Last I remember, a forrest fire had started at some distance frome his land, but was headed towards his new house & shed !! Talk about a "cliff hanger" ! Hope he survived it all ! And of course, we have the normal "aging out"of some members, which will include me, in the near future, and my Kirkham may be showing up on bring a trailer this spring. We shall see what the future brings, Ted |
I remember a thread for early 2011... A drag race between a cobra and a ferrari out in Vegas. Supposedly a fair amount of money on the line. Epic read.

Whatever happened to "Turk"? I remember that beautiful dark blue ERA he had with the white stripes and the meatballs on it, geez that was a gorgeous car. He used to be on here all the time and then he just sort of disappeared.

Him, and a small group of bullies were asked to leave. In a huff they set up their very own website where they could continue their off-topic conversations revolving around conservative politics, misogynistic views of women, bad jokes, and how best to display Porsches in a living room. |
