Quick Jacks to Bumperetts
Hey All,
I have a Street Beast and decided to go from Quick Jacks to Bumperetts. My question is. Will the mounting hardware for Quick Jacks accommodate the Bumperetts and where can I get some? Thanks for any input and Happy New Year |
Hi Marc. I have a brand new set of front and rear bumper hoops and bumperettes for sale.
PM me if you are interested. Cheers Greg |
Fit on a Superformance
Best part? One less question you have to answer...What are those hooks? Well, they replicate old style race car jacking, but they dont work.
I did the rear bumper & over-riders, but not the front loop thing, just the over-riders. I remember using a bunch of SS all thread to get lengths right... Steve H SPF 1764 |
Hey Thanks, Greg and Steve.Yes I’m interested in the Bumperetts.
Am I talking about the same thing as Over riders? |
If the over-riders you find are the original design, the mounting tubes are not the same length. Our setup uses the jackpad-length for the lower tube, the upper tube is 5/8" longer. Your application may vary...

Hi Marc. Yes, the terms bumperettes and over-riders are used interchangeably.
I did my Cobra as a street roadster with the front and rear bumper hoops and bumperettes and had no problem with the angles/installation. Just a little care in alignment and angle to make it "right". PM me if you are interested. Seems the typical suppliers are out of stock. Cheers Greg |

I second what Steve and Dek said about the SS threaded rod. Then slip a piece of SS thin wall tubing (correct ID and length) over the threaded rod to give it that finished look.
