coolant expansion tank for FE
Hey guys; I'm looking for an original type coolant expansion tank, new or used, in excellent shape for an FE.
Classic ford has no stock, supply chain problems. I'm sure there are many of these stuck away in your closets or garages, as most of you have probably replaced them with the Kirkham aluminum billet unit for only $1000 bucks. Or maybe not. Anybody have one for a decent price ? :JEKYLHYDE |
I have one but the top corner has a dimple in it..$75 plus shipping from Nj

Expansion Tank
I purchased one from Gessford Machine a number of years ago. Give George Anderson a call at 402-467-8031. He's a great guy and will help you out.

Vintage Wheel sells the kit that can be assembled. I bought it a year or so back and assembled.
It was around $400 and the quality is good. John |
I have a couple. Call me 480-628-4045

I forgot, my engine installation requires that the outlet nipple be on the drivers side.
Salt; thanks, but my current one has dimples on the top, which is why I'm looking for a replacement. Jwood:I'll call him on monday. LMH:already checked them out, none suitable. Grubby; I'll check them monday. Dan: will call later today. |
I have a few from bad to good. take 'em all for $50..00 each and shipping. IF you don't come up with something from the other guys who posted first.

I purchased one of these years ago. Brand new units. Although the web site states OUT OF STOCK, read the last sentence at the bottom of the site page.

Well, the call to George @ Gessford Machine was very informative. Said he wasn't doing much Cobra work any more, didn't have any tanks, but gave me the phone # of a tool & die co. in PA that was the supplier of the parts to build-up the tanks. I suspect "classicfordradiator" was also one of their customers. Anyway, I called them and talked to the owner, who told me that the press used to stamp out those parts had gone down. or more accuratly the control modual had failed with no replacement available (asian product) so no telling if it will ever get repaired.
