Pass the barf bag, please.

Sargie 06-27-2022 05:42 PM

So who are they trying to sell to? Reminds of a movie Crazy People with Dudley Moore playing an ad exec. He says something like buy a Jaguar and you’ll get laid more.

I suddenly don't want a Cobra thanks to this commercial!

Alfa02 06-28-2022 03:33 AM

Perfect one liner, boys: "I'm not buying what you're selling"

Buzz 06-28-2022 05:29 AM

I think they were trying for something like this and failed miserably. Bonus points for actually showing the beard trimmers.

Always a good idea to get Goosed up before taking your Cobra out for a spin. Next video will be the car upside down next to a hydrant gushing water with an ambulance nearby.

Much closer to the bullseye.
The director is presenting a lifestyle that Riva is an integral part of.

Now if you want to go WAY overboard and granted, it requires
a significantly larger budget. This opening segment sold more
Aston Martins than their entire marketing budget combined.

Location, sound score, editing, effects, pace and humorous
closing shot are simply on another level. Location is Lake Como,
Italy along the Via Gardesana Centro on the eastern shore. If you
are one of the few who has not seen this Bond opening, don't blink
or you'll miss something. Enjoy......

They need to rewrite the ending:

"Failure is an option. It's standard too."

I've never met a Cobra guy that looked like that.

The gal is a dog.

The end.

Pretty sure both actors are British. If you look carefully you can see a Whippet and a flat cap in the corner of one of the shots.

I especially liked the part where the guy with the camera says “oh bloody hell” with the British accent. At least they were ok. Going to need a new VW chassis to put that one back together.

As a Carpenter i was more impressed with the Composite deck and cable railing system....craftsmanship on the carpentry was nice more so then the spray on tan

HealeyRick 06-29-2022 05:29 AM

This guy isn't a typical Healey owner either, but at least they did a better job with the video.

Alfa02 06-29-2022 09:34 AM

So, Rick it's turns out he was just her 'Uber' driver with swimming pool perks :LOL::LOL:

rads42 06-29-2022 12:41 PM

So I'm supposed to admire the guy that whales down some vodka, spins his tires in gravel and chips the **** out of his car and then speeds through his neighborhood? No thanks

It took him the entire video to dump that unpleasant woman so he could enjoy the car and life in general.

Unique427 06-29-2022 05:38 PM

The final eye roll came when he exits the Cobra
on a beach vista then buttons his sports jacket
like he's off to a power meeting.

Ken Jeong sums it up best..........
