Why does the site even go down at all? It literally hasn't changed in 25 years. Same ads, same format, same people, same ugly beige Cobra.

There are early warnings. When the database errors start to happen its a short time before the big failure happens.

It's funny, as a moderator on a sister site, I got a PM late last night from a company offering to buy it. Wonder if Jamo got the same here.

It is working well for me this morning. Yesterday all I could get was the Site Can't Be Found error. Hopefully it will continue to work well.
And this is what I get when I Submit a post. I received it on this one, yet the post goes in and I have to go back to the Thread Heading to get out of this loop. This forum requires that you wait 90 seconds between posts. Please try again in 82 seconds.

It's happening now... At least half of the time I try to do something I get:
PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 7D628E7A
Hitting the browser refresh will be successful after 3 or 4 tries.
How about a dead pool before the site is down? I say 2 days. |

Lots of timeouts and database errors started a few days ago now happens on everything. E.g., open a topic, hangs. "refresh" page goes to blank page and often requires multiple refreshes to get there... Probably the cause of a few duplicate topics over the past little bit.
