Moroso Perm-Align Valve Cover Gaskets
On the advice from a few on other ford boards, i bought a pair of these EXPENSIVE (well for valve cover gaskets at $65/Pair) valve cover gaskets after having fought with gluing on metal cored cork gaskets literally for years, i have NEVER got those god$^&*ed things to seal...Plus they are an absolute mess masking off heads, appling indian head, getting all stuck to yourself handling them etc etc.
Put a pair of these moroso gaskets on, after cleaning everything to Gunny Hartman standards, then carefully applying 100 in lbs in steps with my little quarter drive, bending beam, ten dollar forty year old torque wrench (i've put on cylinder heads with less care)... Absolutely popcorn fart dry both sides! All the way around! All though they look the same, ive never got rubber gaskets to hold like this! AND i use synth oil which is really good at finding ways to get out of the engine... TOTALLY WORTH THE $ Steve H 1764 |
