Delete Duplicate threads
I posted a duplicate thread a while back but couldn't find how to quickly remove one of them - anybody know what the process is?
I did do a search before posting this but couldn't find anything relevant.

You should be able to Edit one of the posts and it will give you a delete option. You will have to check the delete option option and then click the delete button.

I don't think delete is available to mere mortals. Only moderators...
What you did is fine.

OK - I will in future quickly delete the text in one of the posts and insert -"Duplicate Post - Content deleted - please refer to the other post for the content."

The delete option is available to members by using the Edit Post function. First click on Edit at the bottom right hand side of the post. That will bring up the Edit screen with your post in it. At the bottom right of that screen will be buttons for SAVE, GO ADVANCED, DELETE, AND CANCEL. Click that Delete button and you will get a screen with Delete Options at the bottom. One is Do Not Delete Message and the other is Delete Message. Chose the Delete Message and then click Delete This Message over on the right hand side at the bottom and it will delete the post.

Let's try with this post... First submit, then edit...
I only see "SAVE / GO ADVANCED / CANCEL".

Ron, I just tried it on a new 'test' post.... and it worked. Thanks, I can tick off my "learn at least one new thing per day" :D
Cheers!
Glen
edit: just coincidentally I'm sure ..... ClubCobra crashed on me after posting this reply %/

Maybe it only works on the opening post and not on replies?
I also got this when posting this and the previous reply. \

That error message
"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 19256455 bytes) in F:\Inetpub\wwwroot\clubcobra\forums\network\functi ons_network.php on line 341 "
is what caused my duplicate messages as I assumed the message hadn't got through but it did.

Glen,
It works on any post not just first ones when the site is working correctly. I get the same errors the rest of you are getting but since I am not on here so much any more I don't get them as often. The other morning I could sign on but couldn't open a post. The next day I tried again and it worked. So the problems are intermittent and seem to change from time to time. Also when I submit a post I get a message that I have to wait as I am trying to post a duplicate post and it did it with this post which is why I came back and edited it to add this.
