Clutch pedal adjustment

It only 5‘9“ my reach to the clutch pedal is quite the stretch! However, my seating position is perfect! I really don’t wanna move my seat forward 2 inches but would like to extend my clutch pedal to inches so that it’s more even with the brake pedal. Is there someway to do this or is there an extension that I could bolt to the top of the clutch pedal to make it about 2 inches thicker?

Look at the top of the pedal and see if there is an adjustment. If it is a rod you could extend it. If a cable it may have a way to extend it.

My opinion is that extending that rod by 2" could cause two problems based on the geometry of the pedal assembly. First, it would move the pedal both up and out making the pedal motion more up/down than forward/back. Second, it might change the angle where the rod meets the master cylinder causing more rapid wear on the cylinder walls. I think a better option would be to remove the pedal arm and weld a dogleg into the arm to move just the pedal aft by the desired distance. Any change to the arm made below the point where the rod connects should not affect the basic geometry motion.

Great point, Tommy! I was trying to figure out how to put a 2” block on the pedal itself. Like a solid piece of rubber that could be bolted to the pedal then put the aluminum pedal cover on top for grip.

If you go with a rubber block, I'd have bolts long enough to go through the pedal, the block and the arm. I imagine it will have to resist shear forces as well as push. An aluminum block might be more secure.

The easiest thing to do, is use a piece of 2 by 4 and with 2 bolts, bolt it in place this should give you allowing for the curve of the pedal you cut in the 2/4 over 1 1/4 inches. Try it FIRST and see if it works for you, then you can go to more permanent solutions.
