Deleting posts

I kept getting an error message which made me think my post didn't go through. Now I have multiple repeats posted. Is there. a way to delete the extras so I don't look like a total tool?

The whole post cannot be deleted, but you can delete the body of the post stating "duplicate post". That error along with severe lag in screens loading has been with us for awhile now and catches a lot folks, so welcome to the Tool shed.

I've had the same problem.

You can delete a post by going to "edit" and then "go advanced", then delete the post.
You might possibly need a certain number of posts under your belt to be able to do this ....maybe.

Cheers!

Thanks Glen, I've only seen the "Duplicate post" here and there. I just tried it on my post on installing the Ram twin disc back in Nov 22 and it worked! It warned me it would also delete any response posts as well but there were none so no danger to the server there.

Ron61 told me (not that long ago, actually) that a post could be deleted, and how to do it. Simple, yes? ;)

Cheers!
Glen
