Cobra Fever

I have owned lots of fast loud cars. Buick Skylark GS in High School-"AKA the Flame". 66' 427 Vette, 1995 Firehawk, 1998 Vette, 2003 Z06, Mini JCW, Challanger SRT 392, 280 Z- all stick cars- Audi S6- first Auto. Current Maserati Coupe GT stick-and Wife Jag f Type 6. I got contracted a bad case of Cobra Fever about 3 months ago and there is only one cure.

So picked up the car Thursday and took her home for some loving. Detailed her up better than she has been in years. Tightened up everything I could get at on the interior. Up early to the DMV for plates. Love the title as a 1965 Ford Roadster in AZ $20. $25 for Route 66 plate and $25 for custom plate. Cheap.

Cruised the Waste Management Open and the crowd loves the car. Even the cops love the car with the loud pipes. Checked out a couple of tuner shops and just cruised around all day. I brought a hat but should have worn it more. I was tired from all the wind and fresh air. Lots of in town and my calf on my clutch leg was sore. My arms for a bit sore from the wheel. Found more things I need to fix. Was a great day.

Sat. I top off the coolant as the tank looks nasty rusty. Needs a fluid change asap. When for a cruise to take pictures and fill the tank. Fill ever time out like a motorcycle. Cruise the Waste Managment again and then of the Pav's Sat car show. Roll in that the prime row is full and a section is coned off. Guys see's the Cobra, bang park it right her let me move a cone. Prime spot. Had 4 Cobra total for the day. One is sweet new SP MKIII build. After we cruised down Scottsdale Blvd to check out old town which was going off. You know what gets more attention than a Cobra. 2 Cobras!

Today topping fuel and going to my favorite road. Brakes are squealing horrible. Previous owner spent $800 on new pads to fix it. I think there glazed so going to see about removing that this morning. My Cobra fever is flaring up I think.

Welcome to the madness :)

Just remember, she wants to kill you.

NEVER EVER stomp it without the front pointed straight! (words to live by)

After over 22 years of Cobra driving, my smile remains.

Attention getter!

Spot on redvettx2, and Welcome. Karlos is right, these are like nothing you've ever driven before, Cobras do a LOT of neat things, but one thing they do not do well is Crash  And there's no reset button. Cobras do bring on the masses, as I've witnessed, but throw in a GT-40 and/or a Dayton coupe, and the meters are off the scale :3DSMILE: A good friend has a Broadly GT-40 (Not a Bradley) Carbon Fiber tub and body 392 FI Roush (600+HP) when he bought it, he asked the org. owner any issues?? There's just one, it takes about hour+ to fill it up?? Is there any way to fix that? The past owner said not that I know of. Rob being a great mech. took that as a challenge, he couldn't find a thing wrong??, So the first fill-up, yep hour and 15mins later and he's finally able to leave. The crowd of people around the car, asking questions taking pictures took that LONG!!! :p Pictures to follow by "The Brentster" (EM-0785) I couldn't get them right side-up, Thanks Brent. Cheers Tom.
