Good Morning, here at Backdraft Parts we offer a remote oil filter kit. The kit is designed for a SBF, we use the 351W blocks. The remote mount piece will work with whichever relocation you choose if ours doesn't fit your application. Please give us a call @ 5614895193 and We'll be glad to help you figure it out.

Stephan,

If you are using AN hardware, they have made it easy for you. AN X fittings, where "X" is the AN size you are using, will be compatible with and fit any AN fitting with the same "X" descriptor. It eliminates mismatches and leaks.

If you are assembling other than AN fittings to AN hardware it is not recommended because the AN fittings use an angular sealing surface to create the seal at the fitting(s). You will find there are JIC fittings that look like AN fittings. They are not interchangeable.

Both use an angular sealing surface methodology however, one uses a 37˚angle and one uses a 45˚angle. AN fittings are typically aluminum or steel and JIC fittings are frequently brass. Stick to major retailers like Jegs and Summit for your plumbing hardware and you will be OK.

Measure the thread diameter into your adapter in inches and subtract .300 from your measurement. Round to the nearest of 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2. That will be the NPT size.
