Harrison alloy units 1963-1967 Mounted like a Cobra with pins |

Hey Bruce, I was lead to believe they were from the 1962 Corvette (last C1) as was the round fill tank. The later McCord made units were built to fit the same pin mountings as the early Corvette rad. I believe the 63-67 ( C2) units have a different inlet position and top mounting. Cheers, Hudson . |

The first Cobra's had Delaney-Gallay radiators, as fit to the AC Greyhound. They weren't up to the heat of the 260. That's when the Harris radiators and header tanks from the 62 Corvette came in. Race cars had them installed long after the street cars stopped using them. Then as stated, Ford had McCord make radiators and header tanks, that were sent to AC, which lasted into the big block cars. Finally Shelby had Serck in England supply their radiators also sent to AC. But wait, that's to easy! The header tanks were from the Windsor Canada plant, with the inlet reversed and also sent to AC. All Cobra's came from AC with radiators installed, even the chassis, that went to Italy to become Daytona's, and the cars sent over here! Cheers, Dennis |
