Jaguar rearend
I would like to replace my Jaguar rearend. My Jaguar is a xj6 with pos with 3.31 gears. My rearend wont except 3.54 gears. I would like to found another Jaguar rearend with
3.54 or will except that gear. I know it is a Dana 44 rearend but I don't know what Dana is interchangeable. |
3:54 gears will go right in that unit. Dana 44 gears will work with some minor changes.
Take it to a shop that builds differentials. Not a hard job if you have worked on Jag or Dana 44. John |
Going from a 3.31 to a 3.54 won't make any difference. At 60 mph in 4th gear with 28" tall tires, it is only 160 RPM difference. A lot of money for so small of a change.
