Color Code Question

Hi all,

I came across this photo online and have not been able to find information on the color.

I believe this is a Superformance based on some of the photo captions but I am not sure.

Does anyone have info on this car and color MFR and code?

Thank you.

Looks like Firemist Red to me. TCP #2916

A popular color for F5s.

Keep in mind the photo has been edited with added levels of saturation and contrast.

Cheers

The problem you have is a not so simple one, why, because the picture you see on your screen, may not be the one I see on mine. Nor do we know how manipulated the photograph is from it's original. The only way to track the paint color down, is to track the car itself down and ask the owner.

I can tell you the car is not a Firemist Red, but is more of an Atomic Orange, or variation of the same.

Not mine, uncertain what it is, just goggled for an example of the basic color I was going for in my reply.

The new garage is covered in dust and plastic, and currently being used for building material storage. One day, it might hold my automobiles and such, for now, time wise, is anyones guess.

I don't think it's based on Atomic Orange. The image (on my screen) seems darker with a candy coat look to it. My Cheetah paint is Atomic Orange with increased pearl and metalflake solids to give it a greater color shift effect. You can see it better in this video than in a still image. . . . You might want to check out the PPG Vibrance Luminescence line of paints.
