Superformance Owners Association (SCOF) value in Joining?

As the new owner of a Superformance, I am asking this group how much value is there in joining the SCOF group? I am looking for technical support beyond what already exists on this forum.

I can't really tell what technical info is available since you can't access it without a paid membership.

Feedback appreciated.

Definitely worth the money and then some. I am a relatively new owner as well and you can spend hours in their technical database learning all about your car. The forum has tons of questions and answers and you can search for anything that may be confusing you at anytime. The Technical database is almost never ending and always growing covering every inch of your car.

While I do not currently own a SPF (sold my Ross Henry designed, 289 Roadster a year or so ago, slowly on the hunt for another with a 289 FIA style rollbar already installed and a more traditional color combination) I do believe being a SCOF member has it's benefits to any SPF owner.

Well Bill, you shouldn't have sold that car (although you made good money on it!) and just held on until we found you the unicorn you want!

Panteralee, yes there is so much infornation you will not find any where else.
If it is not worth it for you, dont renew.
I keep renewing worth it for me.

Rick,

At the time, it was a matter of physical space, as you saw what I was working with first hand. I put both Cobras up, both at reasonable prices for the time period in which they were up for sale, and the SPF 289 roadster sold first, that is how it goes. Besides, when I conversed with Ross, he advised 0034 did not have the brackets installed already, making the retrofit of the rollbar a very costly affair. Now, thankfully, the later chassis have those brackets installed at the factory, making for an easier retrofit. I'm in no rush, and yes, will now be waiting for just the right car, at just the right deal.

PS: Maybe even a SV in my future :)

And you know Bill, I have a # for ERA2080 that I happen to love, you not so much ;) I'll be over here on the sidelines, just patiently waiting :) Cheers Buddy.

Yes its worth it. No other place with that much information. I do wish their website was more conventional like this one.. But I mainly just use the library.

Thanks all - Question: is there SPF GT40 technical information as well as that is why I am asking.

Yes, the new "SPF GT40 Manual" from Blas, hundreds of pages of good information. See his post with details.
