I had previously published photos of the car before engine installation. Several members had expressed an interest in seeing the car when completed. This is it.

Very pretty. What kind a silver is that?
How close is the photo to the actual color? TURK Enjoy it. |
This is the standard Superformance silver (nothing fancy). Photograph was in natural light so color accuracy is good. I was very pleased with the car. Thanks for the note.

That color looks pretty true to form in the pictures. I painted my chevelle that same color a year ago. A really soft, powdery silver, without the large metalflakes as seen in most silver paints.
|
Very nice looking car. Enjoy it and keep the rear end behind you.

The car looks awesome!

Brad,
That is a beautiful car and you did a great job. Have you ever been to Harrison, Arkansas ? I was born north of there in a little town about a hundred years ago but we left when I was very young. |
Thanks for everyone's posts. It should be a fun machine.
Ron, I certainly do know Harrison and have been there on a number of occasions. It's really a lovely part of the state. In fact, that whole area of Arkansas has wonderful roads for weekend drives. Not much traffic, minimal patrols, and challenging curves up and down the Ozarks. Some of you guys should keep it in mind for a road trip. Nice to meet everyone. Brad LeMay |
Now the fun begins

Looks Great
Brad,
The car looks great, and now the REAL FUN begins.... Driving that bad boy!! My advice is to be real careful for quite a while as you learn the characteristics of your car, as a high hp/torque 90" wheelbase car can "bite" you REAL quick! Be careful at low speeds (like under 40 mph) with the gas, as stabbing it can cause a very quick swap of front and rear ends! Have fun, and welcome to the ranks. John Russell SPF#586 |
John,
Thank you for your note. I certainly appreciate the advice as there is no doubt that the car will take some "getting used to". I have owned a number of high performance Ferraris and Porsches but nothing with this kind of torque. Hopefully winter will be mild in our area and I will have a chance to learn the car before the best driving months arrive in the spring. Dallas, by the way is fairly close to us and I look forward to meeting some of the Texas owners in the near future. Thanks again for posting the reply and stay in touch. An early Happy New Year to all. Brad LeMay |
Brad, think Texas in February!
Brad,
You have got to come to Austin Texas for the 4th Texas Cobra Club meeting the last weekend in February! Last year we had 58 cars and expect in the 75-90 range this year. We shound have the hotel locked down in the next two weeks, so mark your calendar for Feb 21-23 to the sensory overload of 2003. We have members from all over the US, so Arkansas certainly qualifies. Brad, Richard Price here in Memphis. You should consider coming to Austin. There will be at least 2 of the 5 Memphis SPF cars going. We will probably leave Memphis Thursday afternoon. That will put us passing the Malvern exit about 4pm. Be happy for you to join us and carivan down. It is a blast. I've gone for the past couple of years.

Brad,
Nice ride! You'll enjoy that SPF. I'm in the process of planning my 4th Cobra and 3rd SPF and it is an awesome Cobra and the SPF folks aren't bad either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |
Brad,
A fine looking machine, you gotta love SPF paint, that sold me on the car. Did you do the install yourself? If so, I'd be interested in you thoughts on it. Regards, Chuck |
