Chuck:

The Harrison aluminum tank that was used on the FIA cars had but one outlet on the bottom (not two), it was sourced from a 62-63 Corvette. The tube on the bottom was a 5/8" - 3/4" diameter piece of curved aluminum tubing welded or pressed into the tank. A hose connected this tube to the lower similar sized outlet from the water pump. The remaining oulet on the pump was blocked off when weber carb were used. However if you are using a 4 bbl intake in lieu of webers the thermostat bypass hose connects this one with the thermostat housing. Once installed it is merely used as an expansion tank and is the fill point for the cooling system. The 3/8" tube coming out of the end (passenger side connects to the highest point on the radiator to purge steam and allow coolant to spill into the radiator and allow room for expansion in the tank itself. The remaining outlet on the neck is where excess coolant will be expelled. Any prior fill points should be eliminated and the tank should be the highest point in the cooling system. Check my gallery for photo's of the tank.
