Paint protection
I have seen several SPF cobras with clear film on the rear fenders, and I am having a hard time finding it. I have found a web site that has a product that looks close.
http://www.rockdefender.com/paint_ca...sp?make=Shelby Does anyone know where I can find what I am looking for or is this (web page) what I am looking for? It seems to be expensive and I would like to find where I can just buy a roll of it and cut it myself. |
I had House of Cobras put mine on - the entire front nose, in front of and behind the rear wheels. I took one look at a customers car there that had been raced for years and it looked like someone had taken a .12 guage and peppered the entire front of the car there were so many stone chips...It is one thing to go overboard taking care of our cars, but this stuff is invisable (only a slight seam is seen) and saves a very expensive paintjob for about $300 installed. For a street car it is not needed, but if you spend any time on the track you know how much debris can be thrown up in front of you from someone spinning or an off couse excursion bringing debris back onto the track. It is well worth the $$$.

Clear shield
mrmike....first..I am also in the bay area...so want to say Hi
This is most likely what you are looking for...go to http://www.invinca-shield.com/ for their product....They even have them specifically cut for Cobras. Let me know if this works!! Mike |
Mohuska,
I looked on there web site and I cannot find any thing for a cobra. You say that they custom cut for cobras? agro1, Where is house of cobras? I am in Nor. Cal (sf bay Area) I would like to have it installed on mine too! Does any one know of a place in my area where I can have this installed? |
Hi Mike. I drive buy your house everyday just to see if its still up there on the hill.
Fast cars-cool, fast houses-not cool. Top of the hill does the stuff your asking about. There is a definite learning curve (expensive and frustrating) with this stuff Lots of feed back about this stuff at breakfast. Looks good but hard to do. Rick |

had my spf done 3 months ago with the guy who does House of Cobras and Hillbank. He came to me, but I'm in L.A. His name is Kevin #714 313-0602. Very profesional and reosanable. Paid $350 did the nose, the back, and the door area. Cool thing is you can't see it.

It is a 3M product. You should be able to get it form any Auto body and paint supply house.
Try Ned's in Concord. Application is another matter. TURK |
It's called SCOTCHCAL and Turk is correct - Made by 3M.
www.houseofcobras.com They put mine on, or actually as Cobra Fever said, they have a guy that comes out and does it for them. Being in the Bay Area I would take the car to Top of the Hill, I'm sure they have someone that does it for them as well, as Rick mentioned. |
House of Cobras has raised thier price as of last week the price was $500. Give them a call to confirm but that is what thier website says that also. Wayne Presley has the same stuff, I don't know if he has them cut for the SPF but you can ask him. He cuts them, you apply them. $50. Check his website http:www.verycoolparts.com

Invinci-shield
I have the complete kit from Invici-shield. The have several different Cobra packages and they come with a video-tape and written instructions along with the liquid you use to put it on.
It is not very easy but the results are worth it. I recently even ordered a kit for my hardtop to go where the top will ride on the back and sides of the car. Very quick delivery and ordered both online. Sean |
