Possible rear fender/stone guards & materials?

I was just wondering if anyone has come up with a new type of slick rear fender guards / materials for protecting the wide 427 rear fenders from getting rock chips? Maybe something used from another application that could be retrofitted fairly easily? (for just behind the doors). I'm not going for the clear shiney show look. Something more like the old Porche fenders had on the wide-hip Porsche race cars.

Your thoughts or examples related to:

1. Conformable super heavy-duty materials, beyond Clear Shield?
2. Thin conformable platics maybe?
3. Pre-made aluminum guards / larger for wide 427SC fenders?
4. Guards from other cars/applications - that could be modified?
5. Anything new out there, not covered in earlier posts?

Thoughts up to this point:
I've seen the small aluminum pieces on some of the european cobras that are rivoted on (too small), and the snap-on leather covers out there, but I'm looking for something more semi-permanent that conforms nicely. Or, like a LineX type peel and stick material. Or, a "larger" form-fitted piece of aluminium for my ERA 427SC - if it exists. If I could find a handy aluminmum craftsmen out there, I might even experiment a bit if something durable and well-fitted could be made. I may inquire to ERA about trying an experiment for this if they have any old rear fenders/clips to pound aluminum against, or to make a mold for this.

For the peel and stick attempts, I tried having 3M send me some custom length sheets of their "Saftey Walk" peel and stick 300 series materials, but they just look like shiney sandpaper. I thought I would find the rubbery looking stuff. No Dice! I even tried painting them silver to match the car, and it still looked like silver sandpaper; not like a good fender guard should.

If I can't find what I'm looking for, I may end up just having LineX sprayed on as fender guards, and I hear you can get it mixed with colors too, but cannot find a LineX service/dealer who really knows much about it in my area.

Yes, thanks, the link did not work, but I believe I know what item you were referring to. I believe these are specific to FFR cars with the narrower rear fenders... However, these are the closest thing I've found too... but I need for them to come up a bit higher on the fenders. I'm reluctant to try aluminum, because it will dent pretty easy from small pebbles, but I may try these if I cannot find anything else in plastic, thick film or something else.

I may be looking for something specific that does not exist yet, but I'll keep trying...Or, end up making some custom ones.
