A deal on Trigo's?
Where if anywhere can one get the best deal on a set of Trigo Cobra wheels??? I see www.trigowheels.com has them at $2400.00 plus tax, plus shipping plus COD fees..
|
That's the best deal I was able to find. Mine are being delivered Monday . . . (If anyone knows where to get them cheaper, please don't tell me;) )
|
$2400 isn't the prob.. But $200 in taxes and another $$$ in fees
Yikes.. plus shipping |
Is PS Engineering still around??
|
Shipping isn't too bad. Cost $100 to NJ.
PS Engineering is still around, 310-534-4477. If I remember correctly, PS Engineering wheels were $1675 (without the pin drive adaptors, which cost an additional $1,000). You might want to call them to double check, it's been a few months since I spoke to them. |
Compomotive has pin drives as well..
blake |
Pin drives
SCOBRAC,
I just happened to see these earlier today. They are used but they are cheaper. But hurry it ends in an hour. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1876460976 |
Yea.. Cool wheels on e-bay.. Real retro but 16x7.. Yikes.. Might be good for a MG replica..
What your COD fees and shipping was $100 Chaplin ?? You got off without paying tax too.. Not bad.. I'm looking at $2800.. The trigo's are I suppose the best "original" looking wheel out there new, But I can get into a set of 17" Boyd Coddington wheels for $3,000. at 16" and 17" the tire choices are endless. |
Yup, total cost to ship is $100, which I thought was pretty good. Tax savings was nice, although I'll pay it when I register the car. I personally like the way the 15s look better than 16s or 17s, plus with the condition of our roads out here, I think I need 15s. No doubt though, if I were going to a track, it would be 17s . . .

Michael, Ask Lynn about blems you can save some $.
Cheers, Pete C PS Get the template so you can line up the pins correctly. I may have one, call me. |
Thanks Pete,
I will do that. I was hoping to find them at a retailer (Nevada?) but maybe they only sell direct.. I spoke to them about an improved pin system they are using starting next week.. Lucky me. I remember you telling me about the time the guys had getting yours on.. |
Improved pin system??? Lynn shipped my wheel last Tues. Should I have waited one more week for the newest technology??? Do you know how it was improved??

Re: alignment tool
Chaplin,
what I believe PeteC is referring to the is an optional "alignment tool/ring" that you can purchase from Lynn at Trigo Headquarters... The tool/ring is a "must have" in my book. The tool is a small ring, same diameter as the hub/adapter, looks like it was machined from an adapter, and you use it to make sure the screw-on pins are aligned perfectly with the tool, before attempting to put the wheel on. Without it, you "might" end up having to struggle to get the wheels on the first time or so. If you don't buy one; usually you can find a person closeby with Trigos that might let you borrow one. Good Luck. |
I HAVE BOUGHT 3 SETS OF "BLEMS" FROM LYNN PARK FOR ABOUT 1/2 THE PRICE. NEVER WAS ABLE TO FIND THE BLEM!!MOST IMPORTANT THOUGH, ANTI SEIZE ON ALL PINS AND THREADS. DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN DEALING WITH LYNN.
