Tracktime at DVSF

Tracktime has been scheduled for you to run your Cobra during the DVSF weekend!

When: Friday June 20th (8:30am - 4:30pm)
Where: Beaverun Motorsports Complex (www.beaverun.com)
Its about 3 hours from DVSF

Cost: $150 a car
Tech forms and registration details will follow. It will be TRACKTIME only, there will be no formal schooling sessions.

The date was originally set to run the Cobra University school, but the doctor says my wife is expecting our 2nd child ON June 21. So we're staying close to the hospital.

So we are opening the schedule to tracktime only. All Cobras are welcome. Once again, tech forms and registrtration details will follow.

Beat ya!

Guess there's no excuse for the Crankoids not to attend and get their butts shown the way around the track, except...

1. My car's not done (McMahon--also applicable to DVSF IV, V, VI, VII, etc.).

2. Can't find the BBQ grill.

3. We refuse to drive against unpainted metal cars--too much glare!

4. We're still looking for new motors.

5. Turk's a meanie.

More to come, no doubt.

RACER X #99 01-16-2003 03:00 PM

The Club Cranky Gang will be there.

May have to get some tinting for my REAR view mirror so the glare doesn't blind me.(thanks Jamo)

Cranky

BTW,
Non Racers are invited to come and hang out for the day.:3DSMILE:

Our cars should be rolling in, hopefully, early Friday into the motel lots near Columbus. We'll try to nail that down so we can get out there before too much of the day is gone.

Any of you ever run there before? The site didn't have anything I could find re requirements for rollbars, arm restraints, etc. Looks like a decent facility from the site.

[Oops--SCCA Autocross is set for Friday, and I'm committed for that--maybe both? Heck of a workout for a new car!]

mr bruce 01-16-2003 04:29 PM

I'll personally be selecting the swine for the Club Cranky cru. Soon as the weather breaks ,I'll make a recon up to the track Jammer. The joint is brand new last year, so hopefully this miserable winter didn't heave things around too much.$Buck-n-a-half$ a day track time, man-o-man, spots is gonna go fast.

RACER X #99 01-16-2003 04:32 PM

Jamo,
The track is new so all of us will have an equal opportunity to mow as much turf as we like.
Nothing more fun than mixing it up with a couple of Virgin Cobras.
Crankoids are very mannerly on the track, we will never force you off the track intentionally.

I don't know the track rules at Beaverun but PA is a very racer friendly state.;)

See you guys in June,
Cranky:D

Thanks Brucie

Oh goodie--I'll bring those little metal beating hammers with me. I think the Kirkhams provide a set with every car. :3DSMILE:

a427sc 01-16-2003 04:53 PM

Hey, I thought I heard that those al-you-miny-um cars are a piece of cake to fix. Something about a guy in Utah wacking one with a hammer then fixin' it just to show off how good they are.
So all you left coasties, get your cars dropped of Wendsday afternoon in Pittsburgh instead. Some of us brotherly type crankoids will come down and get em for you and bring em up to Bruces joint. We'll take real good care of them, We promise.

I'm hurt by your sarcasm! We offer some of the East Coasts best swine products, a comfortable place to stay (you will clean out the barn Bruce, eh?) a safe haven for your pride and joy and what do I get...

LMFAO
