Aluminum envy vs. TSR
Yes, Yes, David K. et al do make a most desirable toy.....
HOWEVER; Having been recently separated from gainfull employment (unwillingly), all I can do is enjoy my TSR (Tupperware Street Rod). Actually, I'm not doing much enjoying, as my original CJ heads started shedding cast iron pieces into my cylinders. Result: destroyed pistons, damaged bores, and bent valves. Not bad after 300 miles of running, no? I am currently starting over on the 428 CJ... should be up and running in about a month. Someday, when $$$ flow again, I will make the journey south (about 30 miles) to visit KMC and re-ignite my aluminum envy. In the meantime, anybody need a mechanical engineer with 27 years experience? Sorry to hear your tale, both on the employment front and on the Cobra motor Any idea why that happened with the heads? Are you talking valves etc? Tim |
BigMike,
Sorry to hear of the job loss. Get on the internet. Monster.com and America's Job Bank both have things requiring your background. Probably will require a move, but the jobs are out there. I've seen a couple of high level consultative sales type positions that wanted the technical knowledge more than they wanted a sales background. Good luck on both counts. Al |
