My mistake guys. 2, 1969 ZL1 corvettes..... I recall seeing 3 in the table of rarest cars at musclecarclub. http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclec...s-rarest.shtml But reading up on the corvette history it states 2. Its a good site, albeit the info is brief. After looking at the site I have come with my fav collector cars. 1. no doubt COBRA. 2. 69 camaro ZL1 or Yenko. 3. 70 Hemi cuda. 4. 67 GT500 with no E. 5. 66 GT350H. (like the white) 6. 70 SuperBird. (different) 7. 69 Boss 429. 8. 70 GTO Judge. 9. 69 Nova Yenko Deuce. 10. 69 Chevelle COPO. If only I can win that !@#% lottery! Cheers Jim |

If the prices paid in an auction is NOT the market, what is "market" then?
I buy aproximately 500 or more cars a year at the auctions. Many times I have an idea what a car should sell for, and go prepared to pay that much and nothing more. Guess what? 15 20 minutes into the auction other buyers and their bidding dictates the market to be different than what I thought it ought to be. Then I have a choice to buy or not to buy. Even if I don't buy a car and walk away shaking my head, it doesn't change the fact that , THAT IS THE CURRENT MARKET " value for those cars, whether I like it or not. TURK |

Interesting list from Musclecarclub.com. As for the 69 ZL1 Vettes only 2 were made and one is in the Seattle area. Owner has a nice collection of all makes/types of cars to including other COPO Chevelles/Camaros and Hemis and just aquired 2 Shelbys. I will be taking a tour of his collection in Aug during the All Chevy Show.
