Great Asp,

Bill Wells has all these nice toys but he (like I) lives in Michigan and can not use them all the time. It makes him appreciate them more than those folks in more temperate climates. He is correct in his incorrectness. I suppose that he is right in many things but correctness may be in the eye of the beholder.

I may be wrong, but I think Highland Daytona Racing sells a turnkey Cobra. They also make a nice hybrid car- someone here has one, although I can't remember who- great looking car though.

Slab Side

Does anyone know who makes a slab side roller or turn key. And if so do you have any opinion of their product ?

I am aware Superformance builds one.

You had to resurrect a thread last posted on 02-26-2003, to ask that question? :JEKYLHYDE

I'll buck the trend and recommend a Backdraft. I test drove both SPF AND BDR before finally deciding on the BDR. It fits my 6-2 frame better, I love the way the IRS handles on the road and track, the stance with the 18" Halibrands is awesome, and the combination of the Roush 427R and TKO 600 is more power than the car will ever think about needing.

As much as I hate to say it, it's too bad FFR doesn't do quality Turnkey card cause the Chassis is damn nice. I would advise finding a good quality manufacture (BDR, ERA, SPF, etc..) on the used market with low miles.... Let the other guy take the depreciation hit. I don't think you can wrong with any of the f the top brands.

*****crap... I just added my $.02 to a thread older than my Cobra Involvement ****

Also , to my knowledge BDR doesn't build a slab side model.

How would I find that thread....I wasn't around in 2003.

In any case, things change.....who makes them currently ?

ERA and Superformance

twobjshelbys 09-24-2015 10:21 PM

A fully completed car is no longer legal. You will have to buy a finished roller from Shelby or spf or others and send it to someone not associated with the seller to have engine and transmission installed. Or buy a used one that is already done

Yes, things change, which is why you really need to look at the dates of the last post above yours (see above the user names, upper left hand corner) so that you do not resurrect a thread that was last posted in 12 years ago.:eek:

Check out the following post:

Pay close attention to bullet #3

In your case, a brand new thread would have been appropriate.

Well SAI does rollers.......

I would call John at Racewhere and get his thoughts...
If you want a great roller completed John is a great start. It will be correct and accurate.

His last work of art.
