Fender Stripes on silver car.

I really like the look of the fender stripes, rookie stripes, team stripes....etc..

has anyone seen a painted silver car (non-alumninum) :D, with these? If so, what color did they use? I've been looking for some photos...

thanks

Only seen pictures and not sure if they were originals or replicas but I have seen two colors, red and yellow. Hope that helps.

It's YOUR Cobra, paint any color you want. My blue Cobra has red stripes; silver is a neutral color, and any color should work fine. What color is your interior? How about a dark maroon or purple? Kandy colors? On an earlier thread, someone had the "Photoshop" option, and showed his Cobra with stripes and sans stripes.

Blake,

I have had the same thought as you. My car is red. Here's the problem. The stripes have to be a dramatic contrast to look right. The best color for contrast on our cars is black. Black stripes are going to look like mourning stripes. I think the pit stripes look best when they are a bright color (yellow, red or white) against a dark background. I do not think that the reverse is very attractive. Paint a model car and see for yourself.

Blake, I haven't seen a B&B car with a fender stripe. Maybe you can start a new B&B trend. BTW, on an earlier post, you wrote you were going to put in 3.73 gears. Did you do it? Just wondering how much different your car feels as compared to the old gears.

Slow Dawg,

yes...actually I think they are 3:70's, on the ford 9".

I had to get the rear end rebuilt, so I went ahead and put in new gears while it was all apart.

It is a completely different car now. Also, the stock 275/60/15's that darryl put on there rubbed extremely bad, on any bump..so I put new tires on the back...I went to a 275/50/15, it has 2" less in diameter, and now it doesn't rub at all.

life is good...

I think two 2" stipes with a 1/4" gap in a bright purple would look great and be different! :D

You don't really want Rookie Stripes or Team Stripes on a Alpha Male Hotrod, do ya ?
Real men wipe their A$$ on the fender and call them Skid Marks !!
Real men mark their area, ya know, called Man Marks !!:D

Brown looks good with every color except Gold !!:3DSMILE:

Bo Dutch,,,,,,,thats what Gasholes do,,,,is that the same as "real men"????

Ernie you know it is !

Ya hang with them, ya become like them, for better or worse !!

But, in your case, your a natural !!!! :D :D

People ask me what the two red stripes on my fender mean. I tell them "For every 100 Corvettes I beat, I get a stripe!" The Ford guys LOVE that analogy, but the Chevy guys always whimper about my car being "just a replica". F**kin' whiners!
