DV has some news for all of you Spring Flingers! I think you will be pleased. Am I going to tell you???

But I do have a question for all of you.

DV, yes this is a 'fun', 'non-competitive' event. We will have these people there to help us enough our fun, non-competitive spirit:MECOOL:

I know two driving instructors. One is an SCCA instructor and the guy is very fast. The other guy has raced everything under the sun. Starting in Europe (from Ireland) has raced everything including GT, F3000, FORMULA 1 (that's right, F1), Indy lights, you name it. He is an active instructor accross the country and may be starting up his own school.

One of them (my neighbor) has definiatly expressed some interest in hanging with us. The other I just asked and haven't got a response yet.

Aside from cool factor of just having a couple of 'other' fast guys hanging around, I thought they might be available to help us with our car handling and control (safety first DV!).

Any thoughts on this?

....and YOU should get some "glory" or credit. You might ask the guy who's startinmg the school to make it a MOBILE one, visiting lots of tracks around the nation on a scheduled basis.:D I don't know if Bondurant or Cobra U does this, but it could constitute a savings for the instructors (as opposed to having their own track built, bought or leased long-term).

So there is some interest. One is already on board. I will talk to the other and see if they are interested.

The guy starting the school already travels all through out the country teaching. One of the tracks is close to home, Mid-Ohio. He is going to be here near the end of April and we will be getting together. I just wanted to see if some of the 'flingers' would be interested in having these guys available.
