PS Engineering V. Trigo appearance
Help..
I got my Trigo's the other day, tires are on ready to mount.. Doh. The rear are the wrong offset.. Trigo's are 3.5" I need about 4 3/8 to 4 1/2 on a 9 1/2 inch wheel. My question is how similar are PS Engineering and Trigo castings. I suspect they are identical but can anyone who has seen them together comment. PS has a range of offsets that will fit.. Also, Can I use a Trigo hub adapter for the PS Wheel? Thank you in advance. My option is to sell the Trigo's at a big time loss if the are too dissimilar..:( Regards, |

Yes you CAN use the Trigo adapters for PS wheels. However be sure the pin count, pin diameter, and bolt circle are the same. The OD of the "spud" and threads are consistant as is the chamfer. The Trigos in standard fitament with the adapters are intended for a 4 1/2" or 4 3/4" bolt circles using a 5 pin installation with the drive pins being 3/4" diameter. PS has the ability to alter the offset. A cheaper way out might be to narrow the rear end??? .........Rick PS has a very nice pamphlet with very good pictures and descriptions of all of there offerings. |
Narrowing the rear would be cheaper than 2 wheels? Hmmm.. Really? Either way I am likely screwed for a grand hugh.. seems like quality half shafts would be at least a grand from George Petrus or CWI.. Then the lower control arms.. No way.. I'd be into 2K easy don't you think..

Plus I could likely sell my new "used" trigo's for $300 ea.. That only puts me out $200.. Not bad..
But do the PSE wheels look enough like the trigo's to mix them? |
My other option is to sell the Trigo's and the tires for about a $500 loss and go with PSE 17's or Sell the Trigo's and the Adapters, pins et al (more of a loss) and go with a Boyd Coddington Indy wheel in 17".. They come in widths to 11"... with offsets to 6"..

Any driveshaft shop can shorten your halfshafts or make new ones if you have the solid shafts. About 2-3 hundred. Bill Connelly (Upstates Supereplicars) can get you shortened control arms for a lot less than a grand. I think mine were 150 ea exchanged. Don't give up on the Trigos. Cranky |
Mine are solid. I would need new ones.. Pretty sure I would prefer going with the new lower arms to, lighter possibly aluminum.. Hmm.. Anybody speak Hungarian.. I can never really under stand George on the telephone..
