Insurance And U.S To Canada Transfer
 
I BOUGHT A 1992 CLASSIC COBRA IN FLORIDA I HAVE A HOUSE IN FLORIDA AND IN CANADA I WAS THINKING OF PLATING IT IN FLORIDA AND DRIVING IT THERE IN THE WINTER AND IN THE SUMMER IN CANADA BUT THE PROBLEM IS I CAN'T FIND AN INSURANCE THAT WILL ISURE ME IN THE U.S BECAUSE 1) IT'S A KIT CAR 2) I DONT HAVE ANY OTHER CAR IN FLORIDA BESIDES THE COBRA. SO THEN I DESIDED TO TRANSFER IT TO CANADA WERE I CAN GET INSURANCE WITH OUT A PROBLEM BUT I CAN'T BRING NO KIT CARS TO CANADA UNLESS THEY ARE 15 YEARS OLD AND MINE IS ONLY 11 YEARS OLD . !CAN ANYBODY HELP IN ANY MATTER SO I CAN DRIVE THIS CAR MAYBE INSURANCE COMPANYS OR A WAY TO TRANSFER THE CAR TO CANADA.

does anyone know if i can get knew registration from classic roadsters. and make it a 66 and what procedure do i have to do.

no guys i don't want to do freud but i know of replica's that are being buit today and the manufactor and owners registers them as 1966 cobras but are really 2002.

Not sure about Canada, but in the states insurance is generally compulsory, meaning they have to sell it to you. Perhaps shopping around would pay off. My friend got dealer plates and insurance so he can drive whatever he wants without registering it. He even makes $ on the side going to auctions and selling a car once in a while.
