I have been checking them out also - sounds like a really good deal, but no one seems to know anything about them.
If you find out anything on them please let me know...

CobraGar:
I'm selling my FFR and a guy came to look at it 3 weeks ago. Funny thing is he pulled up in one of the turnkey Carcept cars he purchased for $22,000. He is a big time Chicago atty and was sending the car back to Carcept because he had to put $2,000 into it off the transport and it still didn't run right. I looked the car over and the builder cut too many corners for my taste. Example: pulled the engine right out of the donor and didn't even wipe it off, used the donor car hoses and clamps, didn't tape off any loose ends on the wiring harness, etc. The only good thing he used were Autometer Gauges.
I'd be very careful.

I think Carcepts uses a body and frame from Pacific Roadsters based out of Salem, OR. I have not seen any built by Carcepts but have seen a few built as rentals by Pacific Roadsters and they seem to be okay.

I am currently building a Pacific Roadster kit.
