Try House of Cobras in Anaheim. I spent an hour with Dean there thursday. He was showing me a 427 Alum looked great. If you were anywhere close to the Southeast i would only recomend Southern Auto. Its were my FE came from. I couldn't recomend them more. Great after sale service.

What engine are you planning on building. It makes a difference. Anyone can build a good engine if you are looking at a small block. For an FE you could use Southern Automotive. George Anderson at Gessford Machine has been building FE's for about a million years, does a first rate job, and only uses top grade components, sonic checks, fully balances and bluprints each engine as well as test runs every engine before it leaves.

Locally a shop here in the Valley is TOE. They are in Suisun. They are among the best and generally build racing engines, NASCAR, et al. But that kind of talent costs. I just talked to a guy with almost 30k in his Iron 427 (NOS parts all through) You can have an all aluminum Shelby 427 for about $30k.

Here's a second endorsement for House of Cobras, especially since you are almost local. The current owners were building engines long before they were in the Cobra business. (714) 630-8001.

Thanks everyone for your reply..

I don't think that i stated my case very well..The engine builders in question with my first post, were builders who were stated in some ads that i had looked at in trying to find a used cobra..I was just trying to find out if anyone had any commits about them..sorry..
