How many miles do you put on your Cobra in a year?

Actual miles. NO bench-racing miles. I, personally, have put a little over 7,000 miles in the year since I have owned the car. It would have been more, but it was in the shop for body and paint (NOT my fault!), partial rewiring, radiator, and head gaskets/header and sidepipe aluminizing. Well under the 12,000 mile limit being considered under SB 708. And you?

Hal Copple 04-04-2003 04:48 PM

51,000 divided by 3 equals .....,

well, a lot.

excelguru 04-05-2003 09:14 AM

3400 miles in 6 months... and those were the winter months.

Keith :)

mikiec 04-05-2003 09:22 AM

19,000 in 2 years.

wilf leek 04-05-2003 01:40 PM

9000 in 2 years, If our climate were a little dryer and more predictable, would be an awful lot more.

gary osborne 04-05-2003 10:50 PM

I only put 13000 on in about three years but don't have the luxury of earlier poster's good weather. It did not see a mile between October 12 and yesterday when I got about 6 miles in. That is unusal as I have always found a window of opportunity every other week or so all winter long in the past. I also lost most of the summer of 2000 with a blown engine. Excuses. Excuses. Excuses.

Gary Osborne? Who's Gary Osborne?

How ya been buddy?:3DSMILE:

Only 4000 miles in 2 years. Like Wilf it would be a whole lot more if the weather wasn't so bad over here. Today is a classic example - had the car out of the garage ready to go to a show when the heavens opened. Don't mind driving in the cold but Cobras in the wet are not my idea of fun.

I may have done 50 miles or so at most, mostly due to ongoing faults caused by Hi-Tech throwing the car together with what they had before they went bust!

Andy:( :p :p :p :p

Jamo, I have been grand but missing all my Buds from the West Coast. Looking forward to seeing you at the Fling. Lets drink a few together when you get there. If you are coming in early, let me know. I don't need much of an excuse to sneak away early but YOU would be a GOOD reason.

Jamo 04-06-2003 10:16 PM

Of course we're coming in early...you don't think we're going to start the Fling sober do you?

Turk 04-06-2003 10:44 PM

We were supposed to leave next Thursday, but Jamo's car is holding us up...

Miles

Hey Guys-

I've got 4900 miles on my car (with it being in the shop AFTER delivery for almost three months)------so, 1 1/2 hrs to Safeway, sun is out so lets go, I need to pick my son from school, I haven't driven it lately, I can't hear the car I'm driving now, the rain just stopped, the sun just came out, ..................................

:D

Edley Rondinone 04-08-2003 06:24 PM

Temperature in the 80's!!! Great days for the Cobra!!!

BigEasy 04-08-2003 06:52 PM

I'm surprised at how many miles some members are able to log per year. This winter in the ATL area has not been really condusive to open top cars, but I think I've only logged around 450 miles in the last year.

Obviously need to get my butt in that car a little more....

At least I can say that they have been 450 GREAT miles.
