I have heard of people running that "goo" that will fill a hole in case of a puncture and is supposed to help with the tire tendancy to bleed down but I have no experience with that. Obviously I don't! I don't even know the name of "goo"!

There is another version of the same tire from Hoosier called "vintage". They started with the Bias street TD and used a different mold for more of a vintage look. Grass Roots Motorsports magazine reviewed all the vintage tires a couple of issues ago including the Goodyear Blue Streaks.

Be aware that there are different compounds available. The Street TD compound is one of the hardest so you will get a little more life out of them. From what I have been told 8-10K of street driving. Of course if you race them.........

Used it on trucks at my buddies ranch in South Texas for the mesquite thorns..works great.

comes in a 1 gallon bottle with a pump handle. $50.00 a gallon or something ridiculous is what he told me.

I ran the car this weekend at the autocross. Most of the time improvement was tires, some brakes, and a VERY small amount may be experience.

FOUR seconds faster than last year! These are NOT the softest compound by any stretch of the imagination. But, if you can live with them, they stick GREAT.

I figured the time improvement by compairing myself at the two events I ran last year to two guys that rans in both events as well as this weekend that are very fast and have not changed their setups significantly from last year. Averaged the differences and it was OVER four seconds faster than last year.

That sounds pretty good. The Hoosier Road Race tires I had previously, used to jerk the steering wheel so hard I almost lost the car a couple of times. The Street TDs are better? Do they have a speed rating?

.. there are compromises. My original post talks about most of them. The car does follow road irregularities. The bigger the change in the road surface and as it appears, the slower the speed, the more it wants to change direction. I have heard that they are very pressure difference sensitive. Left to Right that is. The only time they caught me by surprise is when I was slowing for a red light and there was a sudden six inch plus change in the pavement left to right. I don't think they ride as well either, but it doesn't seem to be a lot worse.

As for speed rating, I don't know. They are road race tires! A lot of people in here, myself included, get pretty excited about speed rating. For me it was based on a probably not scientific assumption that the higher the speed rating the better the perfomance. Just seems to be the way they make them. But it seems to be factually little more than the highest recommended speed you can sustain before you run a significant risk of having the structure come apart on you.

If any one has more information on speed rating, I would be interested in hearing some professional facts about this.

Still like them very much. One side benefit that may be here for many of us is that they DO NOT like a bunch of Camber. Many of our suspensions where not set up with much and do not have high rates of camber gain. I look at that quality of the tire as a bonus.

If you are going to push the car to the limits on occasion and don't mind some of the negatives, you will like them. Strickly cruising, I would stick to some of the others mass produced radials out there.

I can add a couple of things about the mysterious "goo"..
 

....thanks to my (stupid) brother-in-law: 1) if it stays in any way fluid or "plastic", you may experience balance problems...(Einstein did) and 2) you will DEFINITELY be unpopular with any tire-shop if you have them remove the tires---some brands of the stuff can fly or drip all over the place!

Oh, one more thing, I think Jennifer Ecclestone on FOX IS a true Fox!!! I'm in L-U-S-T Love!!!:LOL: :JEKYLHYDE :D
