No "Upload" button at Gallery?

Anyone else having this problem? When I go to the gallery--no button to upload with. Something change while I was in the wilds of Utah?

ST 04-28-2003 11:10 AM

I've had the same problem for a couple of weeks.
I also have to login everytime I visit the site!**)

Ron61 04-28-2003 11:25 AM

Jamo,

I have no upload butten in my gallery and haven't for a few days. I am also having intermittant trouble posting smilies at the end of a post. Works sometimes and won't others. I think the gallery software must have a bug left in it as sometimes things seem to change.

Ron

Tried to post a smilie after my name and just clicked and lost the cursor.

wilf leek 04-28-2003 02:37 PM

Ron - if you hit the space bar once before you click on the smilie it should work. If you don't input a space before a smilie (or between each smilie if you want more than one) then the cursor sometimes goes back to the very first line of your post.

hth :D

Ron61 04-28-2003 02:47 PM

Wilf,

I have tried that repeatedly and sometimes it will work and sometimes it doesn't. I don't know where the cursur goes as it just completely disappears. This isn't any big problem but I don't quite understand what is causing it. And I have checked all my options and it happens from both computers which run different operating systems.

Ron :D :JEKYLHYDE

It worked this time but just before I tried it and it wouldn't work. So I deleted the post and typed everything again and it works. Go figure !

wilf leek 04-28-2003 02:51 PM

Ron - then you got me beat. Whenever I have a problem like that at work, my IT guy just shrugs and blames "user interface" - i.e., any unexplainable fault is obviously MY fault! :3DSMILE:

...working on the upload photo problem with Brent.

(Jamo.. if you need photos uploaded...send them to me)

Ron61... until your issue gets solved you might have to enter smilies "the old fashioned way"

": ) " = :) (no space between colon and paren)

{colon}3DSMILE{colon} = :3DSMILE:

...etc.
(...need a cross-reference chart?)

Ron61 04-28-2003 03:54 PM

Ron ( Computerworks ),

Thanks for the information. I was just trying to figure out why I can put the smilies in one time and the next time they won't work. I used to have a list of the chart for adding them but loaned it to a neighbor years ago and haven't seen it since.

Ron ":)"

I just tried to put one in here and it clicked and the cursor vanished. I had to use the mouse to bring the cursor back.

I just uploaded pics minutes ago.

Brent
Still can't upload photos.
I also have to login everytime I visit the site. I've never had either of these problems before. If there's anything I can do differently let me know.
Thanks!

Brent Mills 04-28-2003 06:58 PM

Ok, it really IS working now. :) I was able to reproduce the problem and verified I fixed it.
