Csx3017
I just finished watching a video, sold at Autozone. It has 3 segments to it. 1 the cobra 2 the GT40 3 Shelby Mustang.
They showed the rear of 3017 and I noticed that there were 2 leather straps securing the trunk. I have never seen this before. Did all Comp and SC cars have this adaptation?? Mmike |
mikie..
CSX3017 was a Comp car. No, that was not a 'standard' deal. Did they ID the car as 3017? What was the color; did it have "meatballs"? |
Ron,
The car had number 219 on it. It was blue/white with white pipes. The announcer stated that the car was regulary run in the vintage races. 427 with single Holley, The hood had a seal around where the turkey pan would contact it. It had firesone racing slicks on it. The video is copywrited in 1985. Mike |
CSX 3017 was originally invoiced to Ford of Canada. The first owner was Dr. JA Easton of British Columbia who paid $9,650 for the car. It participated in a number of hillclimb events. It has changed hands a number of times.
