OT - Downloading images
 
Something has changed on my computer. I used to have a choice of which image type to download. The standard was jpg. Now I only have a choice of bmp. I think some program on my computer has changed my options.

I would like to be able to download as jpg again.

Anyone know what happened and how to change it?

Bart,

I am not a photo expert but since no one else has offered you any help I will try. First off what photos are you trying to download and what operating system are you using ? To use an example, if I go to download one of the ramdom pictures that appear before the latest posts, sometimes I get a choice of ART or BMP. I haven't messed with the computer to find out what ART is. On other pictures in the same place I get the BMP or JPG choice. Computerworks could tell you in a second what is happening but I think it may have to do with the photo and how it was loaded. I will try to find time to dig into this later on, meanwhile try clicking on various photos in the ramdom section and see if any of them give you the JPG selection when you click save as.
