Double round tail lights
In one of my Cobra books I was looking at csx2000, the first one brought to Dean Moons shop in '62. It had rectangle taillights. I am wondering when the taillights went to double round and on which cobras? I like the doubles, but I dont think it would be easy to convert them on an SPF, without major fabrication.
Also, how hard do you guys think it would be to add a second rollbar on the passenger side? Dane |
When the originals were being built Shelby took what ever was laying on the bench and that became the rear lights.

I believe
What I have read about tail lights is the 289's and early 427's including all the comp cars had the Lucas rectangular tail lights. Later 427's with 428 engines had the round rear lights with the bottom lens a reflector.
The passenger side roll bar is an option from SPF, you could check with your local dealer? hope this helps |
I can't remember the exact CSX # where the tail lights went to round but it was around CSX 3300.
