Milestone !

Another Cobra hits the road. I'm going to deliver it this week. This owners name is Don S., lives in the Mpls area. He's not a member out here yet but soon will be. He's going to try and bring the car to the Fling. It's setup nice, 500hp 351 stroked to 420, TKO trans, Currie 9", polished tubular suspension, Chrome Ididit column, Motolita wheel, 17" PS eng. wheels, big discs on all 4, coilovers all around, and boy is it yellow.

It's also a milestone for me. Cobra # 75 that I've built. That puts me at well over 100 replicas built in 14 years!

So lets welcome another Cobra owner and see if we can get him to respond.

Great looking car Don

Please do get the lucky new owner in here! He won't know what he has been missing.

I can think of no better way for the new owner to break in the car then to head down here for DVSFIII. Are you coming?

By the way, what do you use for spats? I really want some black ones.

Thanks

Rick

I am coming to the Fling with a real 289 Cobra, CSX2143. The rock guards are made for Classic Roadsters. I don't think they would fit anything else other than an Excaliber.

Thats right!

I remember you sayin you where bringing that car.

What are the spats made of?

Thanks

dscott 05-19-2003 02:33 PM

They are plastic. I glue them on. They work really well.

Nice looking car! I may get to see it on the road once in a while since it will be pretty close. Be sure to let him know about the North St Paul Friday nights.

Congratulations on hitting a "milestone"! 75 is quite an achievement. I couldn't help but notice the black rock guards on the yellow cobra. Where did you get those rock guards and how are they applied? Thanks!

Hey Don-

What's the story on the beautiful red Cobra in the background?

Thanks, Rich

Excaliber 05-20-2003 09:42 AM

Hey, I got those spats on my Excal. Wow, that cars got some nice "specs" going for it.

Gas cap is looking good (where it should be). Nice wheels too, Compomotive? I prefer the bolt on style with the "original" look. Chrome side pipes,,,,hey,,,,that looks a lot like my car! Except it's very yellow, lol.

What body is that?

Ernie

OH!!!! News Flash! I just discovered a DScott built C.R. right here in Hawaii. Haven't seen it yet, hope to soon! It's green with a 351W. :3DSMILE:

Spats

I will have to see if DV has some of those spats laying around and see how they fit on my car. Plastic? Do they look nice? There are many forms of plastic that can be easily molded. I wonder........

Nice. What is the color? Chrome Yellow?

dscott 05-20-2003 12:00 PM

Bluedog, please read above for info on the rock gaurds.

Rich, That's my Cobra that will be up for sale soon. CR with 427 Center oiler, dual quads, toploader, 9" rear, Compomotive wheels, leather, tilt with AC wheel, front coilovers, hardtop.

The yellow is 2002 Corvette

Ernie, it's a Classic Roadsters body. Pipes are Jet Hot bright silver with Jet Hot heat shields.

A green Cobra in Hawaii? I've only built a few green ones and I thought I knew where they were.
Don
