Getting New Kit Titled/registered
Good evening everyone, I know I have seen this topic before but I don't remember one lately. I know how this topic can change so often with DMV"S from all the different states. has anyone used any of these titling/registering companies that are on the web... I have heard a few great tales. I would love to hear some first hand info...As well as which to use, if there is one to use....Also anyone famaliar with Louisiana laws and what it takes to get it done. I am a car dealer, had a copy of the procedure faxed to me today by (as close as anyone can say) a friend at La. DMV. Needless to say, since I am writing, but it sounds scary..Thanks in advance for any and all help...Caseyt

I wouldn't touch a "titleing" outfit with a ten foot pool. Talk about asking for trouble!

It doesn't seem that difficult to title a kit in LA.

Like the others have said.... don't go the titling companies way. You may get lucky and get your "60"s" title, but later on down the road, if your state audits past records for "fraud", you could be on the short end of the stick.

Yeah, bad mojo for sure. :CRY: I know for fact that certain states have already started cracking down on the titling company issues and cars have been confiscated. Ouch.

Cars have been confiscated? That seems a bit extreme. Do you have any details on the confiscations? How many, what states, etc?
