Hi Dan, got motor back together...went to track with old carb and 3.08 gears turned 10.50 and 10.55 put on a different carb and dropped 60' ft time from 1.52 to 1.46 but don't have full pass time as car was cutting out on top end and only ran 10.77...also will be changing gears to 3.45 in the next week or so...looking forward to seeing you at the fling.....Jack

Jack,
You have mail.

Dan Stryffeler 06-04-2003 08:46 AM

Jack,

The 3:45 rear end seems a little low; are you trying to keep the car streetable? I'm running a 3:55 and that's not terrible - probably turning about 2900rpm at 70 mph on the highway.

Course you could also get the same result by getting a... um... 'lighter' driver.

Supposed to be going to the Fathers Day Show at the German American Club in Olmsted Township - will start putting out the word to our little group - it's a pretty good show.

Dan, compared to the 3.08 that is in there now....3.45 will be an improvement and won't be bad on the street.....the 4.10's that I had in there last summer just don't cut it on the street, expecially with the th350

Dan,
Is the German Club on Columbia Rd.?

Dan Stryffeler 06-04-2003 01:37 PM

Hi Al,

Yep, the club is about 1-1/2 mile - maybe two miles south of Columbia (Great Northern Blvd) and I-480. Right by Plum Creek resturant. Nice show, lot'sa cars, food, german beer and we park on the grass! Maybe get a caravan going up there... I think that last year I went up about 9:30 a.m. - will advise before next weekend.
