Carrol Shelby's 80th birthday
I went to an amazing event today. The Petersen automotive museum in Los Angeles had an 80th birthday party for Mr. Shelby. Not only was he there in person...there were 118 ORIGINAL Cobra's there!!! Included in the mix were 2 Daytona Coupes, a GT-40, Mustang GT-350s, 500s, and Series -1s. Needless to say...I was in heaven! Mr. Shelby even autographed my die-cast car. My wife was at her baby shower for our first child today, so how better to wrap up the day than with a Shelby Cobra bib for the baby :-)

Hope you took alot of pics? I went last year when the museum had a Cobra get toether, but there were only around 50-60...plus an original Daytona. Must be nice to celebrate your Birthday 6-months later. :3DSMILE: - Bill - |

I attended as well. Aside from being a bit overcast the day was perfect. I sent a few pic's I took to Mikiec and he has comitted to post them for me. One in particular is in my opinion pretty good. I'll let you guess which.

I was there, too! Had my blue NAF Cobra parked up on the roof, between the yellow Boss 302 Mustang and the Sky Blue Cobra. We left about 3-3:30, just ahead of Carroll Shelby and his wife, in their blue SVT Cobra Mustang.
