I don't have one, but would like one for the wifey who complaints in the summer about the extreme heat and sun at times. If I get one it must clear my head by about 2". The manufacturer of my car WCC is not reachable and we are at the mercy of a custom designed and built one. This is what I would like it to look like, here is a WCC with one.

While in the building mode made sure everything was fit to the car including the top and tonneau. The top stays on a lot easier to store that way keeps the dust out, otherwise it is stored in the trunk.

When you live in the north east a top is a must if you plan on putting on some miles or doing extended trips. Took a while to get the side curtains, but finally have those as well. Even without the side curtains, the top keeps you relatively dry in the rain.

I use my soft top a lot - even living here in the tropics. Rain showers can appear suddenly on the nicest of days and although I know I stay relatively dry over 40mph topless in the rain, traffic here is such that you're guaranteed to get slowed or stopped completely a few times while high tailing it home.
If I'm going to be far from home for an extended time, I carry both the top and the tonneau, and use the latter to button, chill out somewhere and wait out the shower. If the rain persists or I need to get going, I pop the top on and hit the road. I rigged my top to be very tight (it's pulled out a fastener more than once before I found a happy medium), so it doesn't flap and I actually like the way the car looks with it on. |

I had a bikini top made by a local auto upholstery shop. It works pretty well up to about 60-65 mph. Above that it starts to buffet too much. My jeep did the same thing but it's windshield is much sturdier than a cobras. I'm trying to figure out a way to brace it a little from the full- width rollbar to the windshield. (Or just keep the speed down) It definitely keeps you drier. -Greg |

I made a hard bimini top. Works great. I've had it over 120 mph and if anythign, It braces the windscreen. I only use it on weekend rallies for the to and from ride so I'll have it when rain hits. It keeps all but the left arm hanging out on the door dry at freeway speeds.
