Cobra trivia question -- Cobra & Volare?

What do a Cobra and Volare have in common?

Bonus question: Why would I bring it up now?

:) :) :)

They have both been seen upholstered with corinthian leather.

A: They are both powered by internal combustion engines.

Bonus A: You have recently received a sharp blow to the head.

They both employ the "lean burn" concept in combustion?

Volare is a Spanish term for "it will fly". Undoubtedly, the Cobra will fly, too, provided that it is powered by a SB.

You guys are funny!

Okay -- looks like you need some hints.

Here are two:

1) In this case, "Volare" is for the song, not the car.

2) The answer was made in 1980.

Volare was Newbomb Turk's favorite song in "Hollywood Knights" which also had a great scene of a Cobra street racing. Turk's version of the song was very creative and non-vocal.

Bumpster wins! The reason I thought of it is because I just saw that it is available on DVD. Cool.

Thanks for playing. :)

Ben - I made the connection with the movie when I first read your question, but on second thought I decided you were looking for a connection to the Plymouth Volare. I guess not many members are familiar with "Hollywood Knights". It was one of the funniest movies of all time, made "Animal House" look like a drama. It was also the best car freak's movie of all time. The best part, though, was that it was (I think) Michelle Pfeiffer's first movie. She looks about 18 or 19, and I fell in love with her right then and there. Thanks for bringing back the memories. By the way, I've had the DVD for a year or so. For a very long time, it wasn't even available on tape. I think some people were embarassed that they were in it and kept it from being released. If I remember correctly, Fran Drescher was topless in some of the first scenes.
