Dove expansion tank
A friend of mine sent me some pics of his new 427SC. The expansion tank looked to be a two piece bolt together cast aluminum assy. When I called him he said it was expensive and leaked and he had a hard time getting it to seal. :( Has anyone used one of these? Are they still avail.?
Thanks for the help

I have a Dove Expansion Tank and it looks very nice now, but when I first installed mine it leaked everywhere. So after a quick cleanup I pulled my tank off and removed all the allen head bolts that hold the top and bottom parts together and cleaned off all of the old sealant. I used some black Permatex silicone sealant and laid a nice bead all around the flange of the tank. I did NOT reassemble the tank until the next day. My tank does not leak now but you need to get it sealed up well before you install it.
I believe I paid about $325.00 plus shipping for the tank and yes I would do again.
