quick jack?

How far from the body should the front and rear quick jack be.

Mount them as close as possible to the body. I've seen original cars with them 1/2 inch or so from the body on the rear jacks.
On the front, just get them as close as you can.

Roscoe, I think those jacks are backwards.

Here's a photo of CSX3042 an original S/C car.

I can show you photos of quick jack on original cars in a variety of positions. There seems to be no set way of installing them. It's what looks right to you.

Roscoe,

They came from AC the way you show them first. The radii of the qwik jack matched the body, but got changed over the years as people kept slamming the real jack karts into the aluminum and bending it up, so flipping them was a quick way to try to solve the damage. AC used the same length bolt on the jacks as for the bumpers.

Roscoe,

Where did you get your quick jacks?

Roscoe 06-21-2003 02:45 PM

Janusz,
I bought them off a guy on Club Cobra. Don't know who made them but they are stainless stee.
Roscoe
