Fan Relay Problem???

Fan Relay Problem???
Last week my electric fan (radiator) stopped working. When you turned the fan on - you could hear a "click" in the fan relay. I took a hot wire and ran it directly to the fan - and the fan would come on. Sooooo, I replaced the relay. The fan worked again for about an hour. Now, the same thing. Switch on - relay clicks - fan does not come on. What could it be?

What current rating is the fan and the relay?

You must be running to much current through the relay and buning up the points. I had the same problem so I added a second relay (in parallel),
