Ronnie Reed - Reed Perf Motorsports
Here is a post over on Texas site regarding the passing of Ronnie Reed (today). I know many of you know Doug and Ronnie Reed the Superfomance dealer out of New Orleans.......
Greg's Post: Last Friday night Vic and I had the pleasure of sharing dinner in New Orleans with Ronnie, Linda, Doug and Connie. During the course of dinner, drinks and award-winning Boudreaux and Thibodeaux jokes, I learned that not only was Ronnie's birthday on Sunday (yesterday), but he was also scheduled for cardiovascular stent revision today -- one of many surgeries that he has undergone of this type. As a matter of fact he jokingly called himself the "Stent King". In usual comedic fashion, Ronnie joked with the doctor and taped his business card to his leg so the doctor would see it before he started the procedure. Unfortunately the stent perforated an artery, and due to the tropical storm, the hospital was unable to get a cardiovascular surgeon there in time to save Ronnie. We ask that you send your prayers to Linda, his gracious, sweet wife, to Doug, Connie and their families in their time of loss. Ronnie was a fun-loving, gracious friend to all who had the honor of knowing him and he will be deeply missed. We will keep you informed of the arrangements and wanted to express our sorrow to his family and friends. God bless, Greg and Vic |
I feel so awful, Ronnie rode with me in my SPF for an afternoon at the Cincinnati SPF event a month ago. I am just so stunned and saddened.
He was a soft spoken, gentle, honorable man. I am so stunned, and so very sorry. Via con Dios, old friend. |
Judie and I send our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Linda, Doug and Connie on their terrible loss. May God rest Ronnie's soul.

Several of us from Dallas are going down for Ronnie's funeral, I talked to Doug today, he said over and over how good it makes him feel to get all the support that he and his famly have received from the Cobra Family. He is blown away.
We need to keep them in our prayers, the next couple days are going to be rough. May The Peace of God be With Them!! Love You Guy's The Royal Rhubarb |
