rod bolt torque specs?
Building my 331 stroker with H-beam rods like these...
"This is a NEW set (8) of Forged 4340 Aircarft quality steel "H" beam 3D race rods for Long Rod Ford 302 and 347-331. "3D" is the lightest "H" beam racing rod available without sacrificing strength!! These rods will support 700-800 HP!! (1100HP upgrade available for additional charge) They are 5.400" standard length, rod journal is stock ford size 2.1232", with a .927(standard stroker size) pin diameter and feature: CNC Machined 4340 forged steel, weight balanced within + or - .5 grams, 8740 cap screws (210,000 PSI tensile strength), and Bronze wrist pin bushings. Fits 302W Ford and 302W based strokers! (331-347)" What should I torque the rod bolts to? thet didn't come with any specs. Thanks Simon |
Are there any markings on the capscrew heads that indicate the manufacturer. "ARP" is OEM supplier to many of the rod manufacturers. Suggest you contact their tech dept or check there website.
